BELLO MACHRE -- COMPUTER SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Bello Machre, located in Glen Burnie, has a great volunteer opportunity for an IT professional or someone with significant computer skills. They are looking for a part-time Computer Support Specialist who could support the IT needs of its 57 houses located throughout Anne Arundel County. Each of these houses has a PC running Windows 7 or later, Open Office, and is connected to the Internet using a local Internet Service Provider. Interface to Bello Machre e-mail is via webmail. Personnel at the houses have varying degrees of computer skills and occasionally need support with malfunctioning computer hardware, configuring software, Internet connectivity, virus issues, etc. Tickets are generated, and an on-site visit may be required. The volunteer can work out of their home or can use Bello Machre's administrative offices in Glen Burnie as a home base and work on office projects if there are no tickets. Bello Machre appreciates whatever time you can offer but is looking for a consistent availability of about 5-6 hours per week. While it is an unpaid position, Bello Machre will reimburse the volunteer for mileage. A more detailed position description is attached. In addition to what's listed, Bello Machre will be looking to acquire interns as well to perform some of these duties and will look to the volunteer IT professional to mentor the intern(s).
